We starting looking for our wedding band since December.
Initial thought was that it should be a breeze for us to choose a pair coz my criterias are simple.
1. Compliments my solitaire.
2. Is to my liking and his.
3. Within our budget.
Soon i realized that its not an easy task to find the perfect pair.
Problems:
1. Ring looks nice on its own but not with my solitaire.
2. Designs i liked may not be designs he fancy.
3. Ring width that fits for his finger looks chunky on mine.
4. Ring width that suits my finger is too thin on his.
(So we started to mix and match.)
5. Mix and match rings don't look like a pair.
6. When we tried to choose rings that looked like a pair, they turned out to be boring.
We went to almost all the chain jewelery stores in town.
We've seen almost all, prices can range from $400 to $3000 per ring.
Found that the cheaper rings are often very light and thin which uses less gold.
That's not what we want coz those rings feel so 'unreal'.
1st choice was from Goldheart. Quite a decent and simple pair and the cheapest among our list.
The salesgirl offered us free engraving, and free polishing from glossy to matte surface for the man's ring
so that it will be more matchy to the design of the lady's ring for the part with small diamonds.
We visited this pair twice.
2nd was from Love n Co. More expensive, a very bling ring with much more melee diamonds.
Nice design for the lady as well as the man's ring. Unique design that we didn't see it else where.
We visited this pair four times.
Next was from Canary. Feels classy and matches my solitaire very well. Very solid and heavy weight.
More expensive than the first 2 pair. Man's design is plain and boring.
We visited Canary twice.
We went Fairy's Inc too to look at the customization options available.
They can make very nice designs and provide very friendly service.
At end of the discussion, price was quoted and i feel that its way too expensive.
We were so close in getting that pair from Love n Co, but we didn't.
End up, we settled for Canary on the third visit. Even though more expensive, i feel that its worth the price.
Had a customized design for the man's ring which we found on the internet.
And mine is a simple channel setting with half round diamonds.
I would very much like to have the design below.
Channel settings with milgran edges. (I have a liking for milgran).
It looks damn pretty when worn on its own, however, it just refuse to match with my solitaire.

This below will pretty much looks like my wedding band just that i have 12 rounds of diamond instead of 9.

Got to think of what to engrave on our rings before our molds arrive for test fit.
Glad that we have settled most of the stuff for ROM (Ring, Hotel, JP).
Just awaiting for confirmation from the arranged parties.
Next up: Look for clothes and shoes for my future husband.
